Visit the club with a member, or contact our ViceCommodore@bbyc.org to be invited to visit and to learn about membership.
Join friends in visiting reciprocating yacht clubs around - and beyond - San Francisco Bay. Or, build your skills on an anchor-out, raft-up or mooring overnighter.
Nothing says "Summer" quite like beer can racing. Casual Saturday afternoon races just outside the Marina knock the rust off, and occasional themed races and skills rallies keep us on our toes.
Don't own a boat? Hit up a member who does, and join them for a spin on their powerboat or sailboat. It gets us owners off our docks and out on the water!
Whether you catch fish to eat, brag about, or lament the loss of, we're planning a salmon tournament this summer.
Join our all-day Safety and Environment Fair, or attend our popular Speaker Dinners.
BBYC is affiliated with both PICYA and YCA, which enables our members visitors' access to over 700 Yacht Clubs. This includes most Clubs in the Bay Area and many more across the US and abroad.
BBYC members have enjoyed joining activities from Waikiki to the British Isles. We can visit these Clubs during their open hours, subject to restrictions such as special events they may be holding. Have you ever visited a floating Yacht Club housed in a retired ice-breaking ferry?
Our completely refurbished Bar is up and running and we will have RBS certified volunteers staffing the bar in compliance with state statutes on the hours above.
The Bar will also be open for other BBYC and rental events, and for BBYC members who have completed their RBS certification.
Having a good time, and planning for more good times to come.
Volunteers! It's a lot more than just the dozen folks serving on the Board.
Skills and Time - everyone has a little, or a lot, of each!
Social Activities Co-ordinator and House Committee have heavy lifts, but your help will lighten those. Membership Committee is a big driver of our Club as well. Someone with experience running a website would (obviously) be welcome. And, we need a Cruise-out Chair. And maybe you have an idea that we haven't thought about, and you'd like to implement it ... bring it to the Board!
Yes indeed - funny as it sounds, having a Co-ordinator of Volunteers would be very helpful!
You will receive a survey through TruHu asking how you'd like to help - or, get ahead of the game by contacting the Bridge through Info below, or showing up at our next event.
Your Board is excited to announce that BBYC has onboarded TruHu, which speeds and adds flexibility in communication with our General Membership. It expedites surveys, volunteer coordination, and much more. You can choose access by e-mail or by phone.
If you missed the rollout, please visit the Contact Us section below, and we'll get you set up.
We encourage members to contribute articles, photos and short videos. BBYC has completed implementation of TruHu, a brand-new interactive, real-time communications tool better connecting our Members with our Officers.
